FIELD: plastic metal working, particularly manufacture of profiled spirals at making piston rings for internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes base, uncoiler, bending die set, calibration die set, winding head with mandrel and feeding sprocket kinematically joined with mandrel, aggregate for heating profile, pressure roller with built-in friction clutch, spring-type compensators placed in calibration die set and calibrating jaws that may rotate around vertical axis. Feeding sprocket has means preventing falling of oil on heated blank. EFFECT: enhanced quality of profiled spirals due to provision of stable geometry parameters and springy properties. 4 cl, 10 dwg
