FIELD: industrial inorganic synthesis. SUBSTANCE: concentration of ammonium nitrate melt is adjusted to 93-94% by injecting 94-96% melt and vapor condensate while automatically correcting melt concentration. Resulting melt is fed into reaction space to cleave ammonium nitrate into nitrogen monoxide, which is then purified and liquefied. Ammonium nitrate melt cleaver is additionally provided with device to uniformly feed mixture into reaction space in the form of perforated pipes closed on their one end and arranged radially in direction from periphery to the center in parallel with bottom. Openings face the same side. Melt inlet unit represents miniinjector with inlet nipples for actuating fluid, ammonium nitrate melt, vapor condensate, and emergency vapor condensate. EFFECT: reduced uptake of ammonium nitrate partly substituted by vapor condensate, reduced impurities, enabled durable maintenance of optimum parameters, and reduced power consumption. 2 cl, 2 dwg
