FIELD: machinery and equipment of percussive action. SUBSTANCE: mechanism can be used in machines intended for crushing rock matter and frozen ground in mining and construction industry activities. Mechanism has body with gas chamber, cocking chamber which incorporates striker with head-piece and stepped valve. External surface of stepped valve in combination with body of mechanism creates overflow space which periodically communicates with cocking chamber and permanently communicates with return line. Gas chamber is partially filled with working liquid. Valve at side of gas chamber is provided with cover. Side profiled surface of cover in combination with gas chamber surface creates slot-type throttling unit. Level of working liquid in gas chamber is equal to height of valve lifting at cocking of mechanism. Aforesaid embodiment of mechanism allows for improving its operational reliability with prolonging service life. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 cl, 1 dwg
