PREPARATION FOR TREATMENT OF CALVES WITH COLIBACTERIOSIS AND METHOD OF ITS USING Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: veterinary science. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to preparation showing an antibacterial effect and method of treatment of calves with colibacteriosis using this preparation. Preparation has silver nitrate and polyvinylpyrrolidone as a stabilizing polymeric agent used in medicine at ratio, %: silver nitrate, 7; and stabilizing agent, the balance. For treatment of calves with colibacteriosis an aqueous solution of preparation is watered to sick animals at the dose 3-6 mg/kg of active substance or 1-2 mg/kg of 0.3% solution, twice per a day for 1-5 days. Use of this preparation and method of treatment of animals with colibacteriosis decreases time of treatment by 1.4-fold and increases the safety of young stock by 13-29.9%.
