FIELD: handicraft industry, in particular, production of household and other lace articles, such as napkin, collar, jacket, veil, lamp screen etc. SUBSTANCE: method involves lacing article from short threads of 80-100 cm length; initiating lacing from center of article by making pattern in macrome technique in mid portion of thread bundle of 180-200 cm length. Bundle contains 2-8 threads, or 12-32 threads, when necessary. Threads of bundle are pressed to edge of working table by weight of 500-700 g. Article is laced from center to edge in separate 45-120 deg segments by pendulum method involving lacing of "frivolitee knots with piko" on alternating pairs of threads. Macrome patterns are laced in places of intersection of four threads. EFFECT: increased efficiency and method, wider range of articles produced by method. 2 cl, 1 dwg
