One method involves weaving of multiple warp threads with single woof thread so that forms tubular woven structure with central axis. Blank can be made using continuous or tubular weaving and can have two or more diameters along its length. Billet can contain one or more fabric layers formed on or attached to one or both surfaces of tubular woven structure.
EFFECT: final structure can be part of window frame, wheel rim or combustion chamber in jet engine.
