FIELD: construction engineering. SUBSTANCE: louver has framework for installing in dormer window, and has upper component, lower component, and side components. Also provided is section of louver with number of interconnected members, and profiled strips. Strips have passway and are installed on side component of framework. Passway includes means, which is movable along passway. Means incorporates body of spring and sliding shoe with supporting surface for aforesaid components of louver section. Lower strip of louver section which faces lower component of framework is connected with movable means and is biased by spiral spring in direction towards lower component of framework. Spring is installed so as to be able to turn inside body. Unfolded part of spring goes inside passway from movable means up to place of its fixing on lower component of framework. Supporting surface of sliding shoe goes in longitudinal direction in passway through such distance as to allow for inserted into it of certain number of louver members. Spring body and sliding shoe can displace relative to each other so as to reduce length of supporting surface. Aforesaid embodiment of louver is aimed at improving its design and functioning.
