FIELD: construction engineering. SUBSTANCE: method relates to construction of airfields. According to method, runway of airfield is made up of pavement constructed on ground base. Used as material for ground base are external dumps of opencast development of minerals, metallurgical slag dumps. These materials are preliminarily spread and leveled and thereafter pavement is constructed on aforesaid base.
