FIELD: operating mechanisms for sulfur hexafluoride switches. SUBSTANCE: operating mechanism has hydraulic cylinder with piston and rod coupled with movable contact of switch, pump unit, hydraulic system with safety valve, overpressure and underpressure relays, and energy storage. The latter is, essentially, gas and water storage cell with spherical housing and spherical flexible diaphragm for isolating the media. Initial gas pressure within storage cell during its charging is assumed to equal minimal working pressure in hydraulic system at maximal operating temperature; housing volume is chosen so as to automatically compensate for gas pressure drop in case of decrease in this temperature. Gas cavity of storage-cell housing accommodates fluid level warning device. EFFECT: simplified design and improved reliability at abrupt temperature fluctuations in service. 2 cl, 2 dwg
