FIELD: transport engineering; coupling gears. SUBSTANCE: proposed traction-and-load transfer device has coupling member connected with tie-rods and with mating member rigidly secured on pole of semitrailer. Tie rods are connected with truck-tractor by Hooke's joints, vertical axles of rotation of Hooke's joints are arranged on truck-tractor, and horizontal ones, on tie-rods. Hooke's joints are installed so that their vertical axles of rotation lie on one axial line. EFFECT: provision of constant transmission of part of semitrailer weight to truck-tractor at any transportation and technological operations, simplified design, enhanced reliability of traction-and-load transfer device. 2 cl, 3 dwg
