FIELD: shipbuilding; articulation units for floating structures, wharf for example. SUBSTANCE: extremity of one of adjacent pontoons has semi-articulation connected with semi-articulation fitted in extremity of adjacent pontoon. At least one extremity has recess closed with cover and provided with flexible wall perpendicular to CL. Respective semi-articulation is provided with box-shaped base which is located in recess for motion in horizontal plane forming the chamber divided by above-mentioned flexible wall. Flexible absorbing members are located on either side of wall. EFFECT: enhanced ability of articulation to withstand peak loads arising due to falling foul of wharf in mooring or in case of heavy weather conditions, as well as cyclic fatigue arising due to action of swell. 2 dwg
