FIELD: sporting fishery, applicable for underwater shooting of big and medium fishes. SUBSTANCE: the gun muzzle mechanism is made in the form coaxially arranged sleeves with edges enveloped by a cylindrical spring resting on the edges of the sleeves and pressing the inner sleeve to the barrel end face. Made in the wall of the muzzle gland are radial holes through which water from the cavity formed by the sleeves and inner surface of the muzzle gland is discharged outside at movement of the inner sleeve (under the action of impact of the piston), and at reverse movement of the sleeve (under spring action) it is sucked in back suppressing the energy of piston impact and spring recoil. Provision is made for a pressure indicator functioning at the same time as a safety valve. The trigger mechanism is made in the form of two loosely engaged rocking double-arm levers secured on axles, one of which terminates in a sear tooth engaged with an annular groove on the harpoon and keeping the harpoon in the cocked position, and the other lever terminates in a spring-loaded trigger. The trigger safety lock is made as a revolving catch, which in the vertical position blocks the trigger travel. The use of a standard valve mechanism of auto-tyres provides for injection of air into the receiver chamber in the absence of the harpoon in the barrel.
