FIELD: methods of nickel reduction in one process from two nickel mattes, one of which with significant per cent of iron. SUBSTANCE: leaching of iron-containing nickel matte is carried out in one stage by supply of solution from cycle of leaching of matte with low content of iron for leaching of matte with high content of iron at the stage when iron of matte with low content of iron is in soluble form. Iron containing in mattes is precipitated, mainly, in the form of jarosite. Solution obtained during leaching of matte with high content of iron is returned back to cycle of leaching of matte with low content of iron.
