FIELD: fiber-optical measurement systems. SUBSTANCE: method can be used to measure movement of object. Radiation modulated by intensity and wave length is formed and fed to measurement zone with the aid of transmitting fiber-optical channel. Signal from output of fiber-optical channel is sent to photodetector and from it to input of electronic switch. Output signals of the latter are supplied into comparators and into interpolation unit. Output signal of interpolation unit and output signals of comparators go to electronic signal processing device whose output signals are fed into interpolation unit and to input of indication system which indications determine measured value of mutual translation of butts of fiber-optical channels. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy and reliability of measurements. 4 dwg
