FIELD: entomology, applicable in search and testing of new chemical compounds for insecticidal activity, as well as in investigation of substances of biological origin for presence of insecticidal properties. SUBSTANCE: method consists in determination of the content of basic ions and water in the body of insects. 24 h after the treatment of insects by toxic in the amount of potassium in the body dry substance is measured, and its content per gram of water available in the organism is calculated. The indicator of fatal poisoning of insects by insecticide is the growth of the content of potassium in the organism during 24 h by 1.3 to 2 times from normal. EFFECT: obtained typical indicators of biological infractions occurring in the organism of insects in the initial stages of pathogenesis at their fatal poisoning by insecticides. 2 dwg, 2 tbl
