FIELD: horticulture, in particular, hand-held soil ripping tools. SUBSTANCE: soil digger shovel has shank. Lower part of shank has L-shaped support positioned on its reverse side. Support has two legs. Upper part of one leg is attached in parallel with shank and is movable relative to it, and lower part of this leg is coupled to shank through rubber band so as to be readily disconnected from it. Upper part of leg has opening for receiving guiding rod driven into shank. Guiding rod free end has widened portion with diameter exceeding that of opening. Other leg is positioned perpendicular to blade surface and has stop fixed at its end and oriented in direction of digger shovel blade. EFFECT: increased efficiency and reduced labour consumption by decreased muscular load applied by operator. 2 dwg, 1 tbl
