AUTOMOBILE EXTERNAL LIGHT SIGNALLING DEVICE Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: automotive industry; automobile electrical equipment; lights. SUBSTANCE: vehicle external light signalling device has supply source 1, turn indicator breaker 2, turn indicator lamps 7, 8, and 9, 10, two- position change-over switch 3, whose movable contact 4 is connected through breaker 2 of turn indicators with supply source 1, and fixed contacts 5 and 6 are connected with turn indicator lamps 7, 8 and 9, 10, respectively. Novelty is that device is furnished additional with front and rear view boards 15 and 16 with control units 11, 12 and 13 for forming and setting information which display vehicle manoeuvres and other information and warning signals reflecting road situation in form of symbols of road signs, pictograms, separate word and short phrases. Boards 15 and 16 are made in form of electronic visual information display on base of microprocessor 12. Front view board 15 is made on housing of external rear view mirrors and sun visors at side of driver and passenger.
