PONTOON Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: shipbuilding; transportation of wheeled self- propelled transport. SUBSTANCE: pontoon has four pontoon units connected together. Two pontoon units are provided with wells where drive is located. Drive is made in form of two pairs of shafts set in motion by driven wheel of truck being transported. One shaft of each pair is linked with propeller by means of two bevel gear pairs. Other shaft of each pair is provided with brake. Brakes are connected with swivel trunnions by means of rods; trunnions are fitted on two other pontoon units where wheels of truck are located. EFFECT: possibility of using driven of transport facility being transported by pontoon for motion of pontoon over water. 5 dwg
