FIELD: mining; applicable under conditions of dynamic loading. SUBSTANCE: hydraulic prop has piston with rod installed in cylindrical body with safety valve mounted in head end of cylindrical body, and emergency device including embraced and embracing members, one of which is installed with possible forcing. Embracing member is hollow. Ends of cylindrical body and rod serve as supporting parts of hydraulic prop. Emergency device is mounted on supporting part of hydraulic prop on the side of dynamic loading effect and has no hydraulic communication with head end of cylindrical body. Embracing and embraced members are connected with interference lit. One of them in forcing-through may be moved by force. Embraced member is made in the form of punch engageable with internal surface of embracing member. Embraced member may be mounted on supporting part of hydraulic prop. Embracing member may also be mounted on supporting part of hydraulic prop.
