FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: process includes recovery of oxidized copper powder in gas environment, grinding, and sieving operations; first copper powder is oxidized by mixing it up with water at 90-95 C followed by evacuation of moisture to 30-40 mass percent; then oxidized copper powder is packed in metal molds which are then placed in containers in carbon filler environment; recovery is conducted at 650-700 C with isothermal exposure to this temperature for 6-8 h; used as gas environment is mixture of carbon and hydrogen oxides formed in the course of heating at 650-700 C due to chemical reaction between chemisorbed water vapors evaporated from oxidized copper powder and carbon filler; recovered copper powder is cooled down to 450-500 C beyond furnace ; then powder is discharged, pulverized, and sieved. EFFECT: facilitated procedure, reduced cost, improved safety. 1 tbl, 9 ex
