FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: header has casing defined by front and rear carrier pipes, sides and shell. Cutter, winder, auger and working tool drive mechanism is positioned on casing. Curved dividers are arranged adjacent to header sides. Curved divider has portion projecting forward and positioned at the same level or below site of attachment of lower cob on corn stem at wax ripeness stage. Such construction prevents lower cob stem from being torn by divider during advancement of harvester. EFFECT: increased efficiency and reduced loss of grain. 6 cl, 6 dwg
