FIELD: animal farming, in particular, equipment for mechanization of labor consuming operations. SUBSTANCE: feeder has hopper with bottom made in the form of feeding conveyor, discharge conveyor and drum with fodder separators which are formed as pairs of spaced fingers having section in the form of two-sided angle. First side of this angle is perpendicular to drum axis and second side is positioned at an angle to drum axis and to similar side of adjacent finger. Upper edge of second side of each finger is positioned at an acute angle to rib of two-sided angle. Fodder separators are arranged in rows in helical lines oriented in opposite directions and converging within drum central part in direction opposed to direction of rotation of drum. Fodder separators of each subsequent helical line are offset with respect to fodder separators of each previous helical line along drum axis for δ1, with offset value being calculated on condition that b < δ1 < B-b. Fodder separators of each helical line are disposed axially of drum with gap δ2 between each two adjacent fodder separators of this helical line. Value of this gap is calculated on condition that δ1 < δ2 < δ1 + B-2b, where b is fodder separator finger width, B is fodder separator working width.
