FIELD: polymeric materials. SUBSTANCE: invention describes method of producing polyethyleneterephthalate material that can be used for making plastic band with high indices. Method involves collection of polyethyleneterephthalate material exhibiting broad distribution of intrinsic viscosity, mainly in the range 0.60-0.80 dl/g, up until to 0.95 dl/g. Collected material is mixed and formed its into mixture of material with heterogeneous intrinsic viscosity and consisting of great number of heterogeneous particles as crumbs and lumps. Heterogeneous mixture is subjected for direct solid-phase polymerization to obtain heterogeneous material with mean intrinsic viscosity 0.85 dl/g, not less. Invention describes also polyethyleneterephthalate material and plastic band. EFFECT: simplified process, improved economy of method and material. 12 cl, 5 dwg
