SUBSTANCE: non heat treated steel band for binding packed articles by means of loops in binding machine is made of steel containing (%): carbon 20-25; manganese 0.3-0.6; phosphorus no more than 0.04; sulfur no more than 0.05; aluminium in quantity sufficient for complete killing of it; silicon no more than 0.01 at ratio of boron to free nitrogen 1.07-1.43. Steel strip is coiled at 595 C for lowering self-annealing that occurs in air after coiling. Then coiled steel is cold rolled at reduction degree almost 80% for increasing its tension strength before making binding band of it. Said band may be coated by zinc.
