FIELD: space engineering; temperature control systems of communication satellites. SUBSTANCE: according to invention, during operation of temperature control system in orbit, temperature of heat-transfer agent in sections of liquid passage, pressure of gas in pressure-sealed container and gas chamber of volume compensator, as well as rate of flow of heat-transfer agent through passage are measured. Values obtained during measurements are compared with permissible values. In the course of manufacture of temperature control system, volume of gas chamber being compensated and stiffness of compensator bellows, total volume and degree of untightness of liquid passage, as well as distance of this passage between point of its connection with liquid chamber of compensator and pump inlet are measured. In checking the operation of temperature control system, pressure of heat-transfer agent at pump inlet is found from special relationship of working parameters of liquid passage. EFFECT: enhanced reliability; increased operating life; reduced mass of system. 2 cl, 2 dwg
