FIELD: underwater acoustics, medicine and some branches of technology. SUBSTANCE: method is based on determination of power of thermal losses in ultrasonic converter. Converter is excited by alternating current of ultrahigh frequency of calibrated power and its heating is measured. Then additional heating of converter with supply of direct current of calibrated power to resistor which is in thermal contact with converter is measured. Power of ultrasonic radiation is found by subtraction of power of thermal losses from electric power of ultrahigh frequency. EFFECT: high precision of autonomous calibration both by power of ultrasonic radiation and by efficiency. 1 dwg
