FIELD: X-ray introscopy, non-destructive tests of materials and articles in mechanical engineering, aircraft industry, power engineering, luggage inspection of passengers. SUBSTANCE: technical result of invention lies in increased quality of generated optical image with magnification of dimensions of its working field. In agreement with invention working surface of transducer is irradiated through glass plate with opaque film electrode by pulse X-ray flux from X-ray gear. As result latent electron-ion image of test object is formed in gas space of transducer. After supply of high-voltage power pulse to electrodes of chamber synchronized by pulses of X-ray radiation gas discharge develops and is accompanied by ultraviolet radiation which is converted to visible image in luminophor. EFFECT: increased quality of generated optical image. 2 dwg
