SUBSTANCE: multipurpose transformerless-input portable regulated power supply designed for operation within comprehensive range of input voltages and fed with DC current from 12- to 18-V source or from 12- to 260-V AC mains has LC power filter, rectifier bridge, power transistor built around MIS transistor, storage capacitor, current regulator, transistor, first and second voltage regulator diodes, first, second, and third resistors. Proposed device depends for its operation on charging the capacitor at the beginning of half-cycle and uses insulated-gate field-effect transistor as switching member.
