FIELD: medicine, in particular, jet injectors for performing intracutaneous, subcutaneous and intramuscular mass injections of various medicinal preparations. SUBSTANCE: jet injector has working head with nozzle, clamping nut and anti-infective protector, power block with casing, power spring, hydraulic piston with stem, ball-point lock, and protector drop mechanism. The latter has movable working head of spring-loaded sleeve. Movable working head is adapted for engagement with clamping nut. One end of sleeve is in contact with anti-infective protector and other end is engageable with spring-loaded piston stem. Piston is positioned in casing. Such construction allows patient capacity (number of injections per unit of time) to be increased. EFFECT: reliable protection of patient from cross infection, simplified construction and enhanced reliability in operation. 2 cl, 2 dwg
