SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sorption processes for removing sulfuric acid from high-concentration electrolyte solutions containing sulfuric acid and nonferrous metal salts. Process involves bringing electrolyte solutions into contact with aminoethanol anionite, removing remaining contact solutions from intergranular space of anionite, and regeneration of the latter with water, said anionite being sorbent containing residues of 2-aminomethylene(N'-bis-beta- hydroxymethyl)pyridine and 2-aminomethylene(N'-mono-beta- hydroxymethyl)pyridine.
