FIELD: ferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: lid to apparatus for drying ladles includes metallic framework, embedded metallic members and lining. Embedded metallic members are in the form of endless zigzag-shaped belt and they are arranged symmetrically relative to central axis of lid. Apices of belt zigzags are secured to metallic framework. Non-uniform linear expansion of mutually opposite sides of heated metallic members is compensated by their elastic deformation. EFFECT: reduced warping degree of lid, enhanced reliability of securing metallic members to lid framework. 3 dwg
