FIELD: drilling branch. SUBSTANCE: reagent for treatment of drilling muds has the following components, wt.%: starch, 3.5-0.5; silicic acid water-soluble salt (silicate of sodium metasilicate), 1.0-3.0; sodium hydroxide, 0.2-0.5; product based on saponified vat residues of production of synthetic fatty acids and/or cellulose ester sodium salt at degree of neutralization 500, not less, 0.25-2.15; calcium chloride, 0.5-1.75; and water, the balance. Method provides deformation of zone of improving land by silt deposition due to starch destruction. Real hole output drilled with using clay free drilling muds prepared on the base of indicated reagent corresponds in fact to potential-prognosis output values and by 15-25% above as compared with mean output by holes drilled in the same layer using conventional clay free drilling muds. Consumptions for hole utilization is decreased by 1.2-2.0-fold. EFFECT: increased stability of technological properties of drilling muds treated with reagent at thermic treatment, increased enzymatic stability, decreased friction coefficient, retained capacity to recovery of penetration of critical zone of layer. improved properties of reagent. 5 tbl, 3 ex
