Computer has input for reception of any controlling signal from remote control unit of television viewer and output for control over channel selector to let signal corresponding to channel chosen by television viewer pass in response to one of controlling signals from remote control unit. Computer receives and stores input signal of run of TV picture carrying information on local TV program and generates output signal of run of picture that includes at least part of input signal of run of TV picture. Output signal of TV picture is overlapped in adder on passed signal to form displayed signal which is fed to input of screen for TV viewer. Computer responds to controlling signals from remote control unit. EFFECT: adder changes weight factor of output signal of TV picture relative to passed signal. 12 cl, 9 dwg
