FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: surface of the television receiver display is ribbed. Said ribs are straight triangular prisms passing from the bottom upwards on the entire height of the display, the lateral faces 1 and 2 of said prisms directed to the left side and the right side at an angle. An image of one television program is broadcast on the left faces 1 of the prisms and a second image is broadcast on the second faces 2. A full size image is formed on each of the composite half-screens, hence viewers located in lateral zones perpendicular to the plane of the faces will only see one video image formed on faces of the prisms facing them. Accompanying sound is transmitted at two separate outputs connected to headphones or extension loudspeakers. Each part of the screen is controlled using its own remote control device without affecting the second part of the display.

EFFECT: broader functional capabilities owing to simultaneous viewing of two full-size video images obtained from different sources on a television receiver display without special glasses.
