Internal photoelectric reading unit insensitive to technological errors of optical system can be inserted in self-aligning leveling instrument, television and automatics can be employed also. Technical achievement of proposed invention lies in leveling without geodetic rack, in sighting and observation on TV screen of video control unit distant from leveling instrument at any range convenient for observer.
