FIELD: plastic metal working with subsequent heat treatment, namely, forming sheet blanks of titanium alloys. SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes shaping unit, cross piece, pressure mechanism and deforming member joined with pressure mechanism. Shaping unit is placed in reservoir with walls equidistant to contour of shaping unit and it is provided with lid movable relative to said wall. Deforming member is in the form of sand layer limited by walls of reservoir, lid and separator made of heat resistant cloth or easy-to-form metal. Pressure member in the form of wedges is placed between cross piece and lid. Wedges are made of material with heat expansion factor more than that of reservoir material.
