FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: cereal crop seed drill has frame, hitch, wheels, hoes, bed former covered with hydrophobic material, seed box, shares, and leveler with rods extending in helical lines on its cylindrical surface. Drill frame is equipped with general-purpose pivot joint disposed between transverse bar of third-row hoes and bed former. Drill of such construction allows seeds to be sown in compacted and moistened soil layer, resulting in rapid and steady germination of young crops even with minimum precipitation in unsteady or insufficient wetting zones.
