FIELD: machine engineering, possibly mounting sleeve or bearing race onto axle of wheel pair of railway car. SUBSTANCE: in housing of installation there are mounted: mechanism for fixing pressed-on part; drive unit for moving it and two brackets carrying two pairs of clamps for suspension wheel pair with mechanism for fixing it and with drive unit. Housing includes first and second vertical movable struts and first and second vertical stationary struts mutually connected in pairs by means of lateral lengthwise strips and cross braces for forming single three-dimensional frame. First, second, third and fourth trunnions are mounted respectively in first and second stationary and movable vertical struts. Motion drive unit includes first hydraulic cylinder mounted in first and second trunnions with possibility of rotation by means of second hydraulic cylinder. Rack engaging with gear wheel mounted in first trunnion is secured to piston of second hydraulic cylinder. Rod of first hydraulic cylinder has thrust bead with spheric surface joined with spheric surface of compensation washer. On third and fourth trunnions coaxially relative to first hydraulic cylinder retractable stop is mounted. Said stop has drive unit in the form of wedge pusher for moving it longitudinally. Retractable spring-loaded bushing is mounted on rod of first hydraulic cylinder. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of operations for manufacturing or restoring wheel pairs of railroad cars. 4 cl, 8 dwg
