FIELD: transport engineering. SUBSTANCE: vehicle wheel has hub coupled with rim by flexible members made in form of flexible metallic zigzag tape fitted in space between rim and hub for fixing at different rigidly in points of contact with surfaces of rim and hub. Tangential slots are made in rim and hub at points of contact with tape. Width of slots is equal to width of flexible member. Cylindrical pins are used for fixing flexible member in slots of rim and hub. Axes of pins are square to wheel plane. Number of pins is equal to number of points of contact of flexible member with hub and rim. Distance from pin surface to flexible member is chosen within the limits of 0 and 5 mm. Rigid fastening of flexible member in slots of hub and rim can be provided by threaded and (or) rivet joints or by use of combination of rigid and free fixing by means of cylindrical pins.
