FIELD: seismology. SUBSTANCE: technique is intended for identification of seismic structure between two horizons determined with the aid of geodetic survey of seismic zone. In accordance with invention specified number of seismic structures whose identification should be carried out is determined. Row of portions of seismic trail for specified area is obtained. Parameter of identification of structure which is common for all these portions of trail is found. Values of these parameter per each portion of trails of given row is determined. Portions of trail are selected from above-mentioned row. Unidimensional neuron network having same number of cells as number of elements of structure to be identified is chosen. Each cell is allotted with value of identification parameter. Neuron network is taught so with the use of selected portions of trails that at finish of specified process each cell corresponds to identified element of structure and all specified element s of structure shall be arranged in sequence. Each portion of trail from specified row intended for processing is presented in classified and arranged neuron network. Number of cell of network nearest to trail is assigned per each presented portion. EFFECT: identification of change of seismic faces corresponding to thinning of strata, possibility of usage of seismic parameters of medium for geological interpretation. 6 cl, 3 dwg
