FIELD: fireproof materials. SUBSTANCE: products are manufactured from poly(p-phenyleneterephthalamide) having intrinsic viscosity 1.5 to 4 dL/g, content of sulfur in the form of sulfonic groups 5 to 20 mol per 100 mol of polymer units and also containing 1.0 to 15% tungsten and molybdenum oxides. Products show fire resistance at least fivefold higher than analogous metal oxide-free products. Protective clothing manufactured from fibers of invention retains better its integrity in flame.
