FIELD: textile industry, in particular, manufacture of fabrics for production of overalls adapted to be used under high temperature conditions. SUBSTANCE: method involves impregnating filament and/or film produced from aramide, in particular, poly (μ -phenylethylene isophthalamide) or polybenzimidazole containing at least 0.1% by weight of tungsten, with solution of tungsten hexachloride in organic solvent; treating with aqueous solution for producing mixed tungsten oxides. Tungsten hexachloride may be introduced into solution of polymer solved in organic solvent to form filament or film, with further treatment with aqueous solution. Such filament or film is used to manufacture fabric with increased thermal stability. Ultimate oxygen index of fabric is 35-44, loss of weight at 800 C is 40%. EFFECT: increased efficiency of method, improved quality of filament or film and, as a result, high quality overalls produced from such filament or film. 7 cl, 6 tbl, 4 ex
