FIELD: mechanical engineering; diesel engines. SUBSTANCE: proposed spray tip has body 1 with taper seat 2 mated with well 3. Needle 4 placed in space of body 1 is provided with shutoff cone 5 and throttling cone 6 separated by ring groove. Shutoff cone 5 engages with seat 2, and throttling cone 6 is installed to form clearance with seat 2. Needle 4 has conical belt 8 forming locking edge 9 at intersection with shutoff cone 5. Additional cone 10 made on needle 4 forms throttling edge 11 at intersection with throttling cone 6. Diameter dtc of throttling edge exceeds diameter dw of well 3 and it is calculated by equation where C1 and C2 are lengths of generatrices of throttling and shutoff parts of surfaces of corresponding cones, doc is diameter of large base of throttling cone 6, dos is diameter of larger base of seat cone, and dle is diameter of locking edge.
