FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: inventions relate to treatment of sheet material by pressure. They may be used for connection of truck van bodies. Lugs bent out in succession to different sides of sheet plane and pressed to panels are made by cutting in sheet panels provided with L-shaped beadings on end faces. Lugs are positioned on beadings along panels with opposite alternation of direction of their bending on adjacent beadings. Connection is obtained by means of device including identical rolls rotating synchronously. Rolls are positioned on parallel axles. Device also includes lug-bending appliance. Punches and reciprocal matrices are mounted in succession on different sides of panels to be connected. Lug-bending appliance is provided with two calibrating slotted channels with shaped starting edges. Channels are positioned on different sides of rolls.
