FIELD: radar equipment. SUBSTANCE: method involves reading electromagnetic oscillations, which are emitted by high- voltage electric power transmission lines in radio frequency, by means of receiver, which is mounted on helicopter. Values of received signals are measured against reference values. This results in possibility to correct helicopter flight direction. Reading of electromagnetic oscillations is done from several different directions using several receiving antennas, which beam patterns are oriented in different angular sectors of helicopter flight plane. Presence of signal in one of receiving antennas provides possibility to detect position of wires of transmission line with respect to helicopter housing. EFFECT: increased flight safety. 2 dwg
