FIELD: overpower protective gear primarily for domestic appliances such as computers or television sets. SUBSTANCE: device is designed to reduce error in specified power range to 0.001-1%. Novelty is introduction of regulated reference voltage control unit that functions to compare voltage drop across current-measuring resistor inserted in series with load with reference value and is connected to current comparison unit. The latter is connected directly to first input of final element control unit and also, through overcurrent protective gear delay unit, to second input of final element control unit. Overcurrent protective gear delay unit is built up of two delay units first one being designed to maintain desired proportion between minimal and maximal delay intervals t1 and t2, respectively, chosen within the range of 1,0001≤(t1+αt2)/t2≤1,5, where α is experimental factor chosen depending on characteristics of transient processes during connection of predetermined types of loads to supply mains in the range of 0,4≤α≤1,6. Mechanical design of second delay unit depends on desired relationship between delay intervals t3 and t2 chosen within the range of 5≤(t2+βt3)/t3≤100, where β is experimental factor depending on heat dissipation properties of final element and current-measuring resistor within the range of 0,4<=β<=1,7. EFFECT: improved technical and economical characteristics of device. 2 dwg
