FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves culturing cells supporting life activity of retina neurons under known conditions without blood serum. Molecular factors are used for stimulating axon-type regeneration from this kind of neurons. Glial envelope cells surrounding optic nerve axons issue two molecules initiating and supporting nerve regeneration. One molecule is called axogenesis factor 1 being low molecular mass polypeptide which size is in the vicinity of 1000 Dalton that is equivalent of 707 Dalton according to mass spectroscopy study data. The second molecule is called axogenesis factor 2 being large size protein of approximately 12000 Dalton in size. The factors are included strictly into the central nervous system regeneration, and are useable for treating spinal cord injuries and other injures of nerve tissues. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment. 4 cl, 4 dwg
