FIELD: technology of manufacture of refractories applicable in metallurgy, particularly, compositions for manufacture of unburned products used in contact with molten metals. SUBSTANCE: refractory mass includes phosphate binding agent, alumina-containing component, graphite, metallic aluminum and mixture of combined grinding of burned and unburned alumina-containing material of 0.088 mm fraction. Phosphate binding agent is used in form of orthophosphoric acid or its derivatives containing oxides of aluminum and chromium. Alumina-containing component is used in form of burned and/or melted material containing Al2O3 in amount of above 60%. Mixture of combined grinding contains burned or melted alumina-containing material and unburned alumina-containing material with content of Al2O3 in amount of 25-60% in ratio of (2-6): 1. Refractory mass contains the following amounts of components, wt.%: alumina-containing component of above 0.1 mm fraction 65; mixture of combined grinding of burned or melted alumina-containing material and unburned alumina-containing material containing Al2O3 in amount of 25-60% in ratio of (2-6):1 of below 0.088 mm fraction 25-45; graphite 5-13; metallic aluminum of below 0.088 mm fraction 2-4; phosphate binding agent 3-8.
