FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: method involves undercutting soil layer in horizontal plane to obtain elliptical section, with longer axis of section being inclined from vertical plane to slope surface toward slope foot or top; crumbling soil layer by bending it in mutually perpendicular planes, turning and laying it into its furrow; forming equally spaced uncultivated ridges in furrow bottom so that they are extending in parallel with horizontal planes of slope, with ridge tops extending at the level of plow bottoms, and helical grooves. Soil layer is undercut at the level below plow bottom, i.e. at depth of at least 1.3 h, where h is distance from soil surface to plow bottom, and undercut layer thickness and width ratio is 5:7-8. Working tools are made in the form of spherical ring with backward curvature in the vicinity of smaller diameter. Spherical ring has auxiliary working tool made in the form of body of rotation with inner curvilinear generatrices and outer rectilinear generatrices. Working tool is rigidly attached with its large end to spherical ring so that their inner working surfaces are continuously joined. Inserts are secured to working tool outer surface which is attached to tine for rotation by means of slider bearing. Pins with cutting edge are extending along inner surface of auxiliary working tool generatrices. Ratio of sizes of working tools is selected so as to provide ratio of soil cultivation depth, spherical ring diameter and minimum inner diameter of auxiliary tool within the range of 1:3.9-4.5:1.3-1.5.
