FIELD: measurement technology, measurement of water volume predominantly in public water supply systems. SUBSTANCE: neck of water meter case carries measurement unit with space housing impeller. Radial ribs are located on lid closing space and in part of bottom of space between eccentric inlet and outlet holes. Sealing member in the form of ring and clamp bordering on it is laid in grooves in external surface of measurement unit. Manufacture of measurement unit in the form of independent module makes it possible to replace it right at point of installation of water meter. EFFECT: enhanced sensitivity and prolonged service life of water meter due to partial unloading of impeller supports. 2 cl, 8 dwg
